They give you instant access plus the ability to use your own download manager (DLM) if you have difficulty with what Adobe normally employs and want to get the tools or trials without it… They can also come in handy if you want offline CC 2018 installers to use, store, or back up with (i.e., copy to USB flash drive, burn to DVD media, install on other systems or unconnected machines, etc). These links go to the authentic and secure files residing on Adobe’s servers, are guaranteed genuine, safe, legal, and will not change.

The CC 2018 software is available immediately for worldwide download via the Creative Cloud Desktop App… This means everyone gets either a free upgrade or a free trial – but some folks want or need to access the new tools directly without using Adobe’s download/app manager.Īnd we have some great news: Adobe has just published a complete set (dozens!) of direct download links for the new CC 2018 release, and you’ll find them in the table below. There are major updates across the entire suite of tools and services, including entirely new CC desktop tools as well as significant new features and performance improvements to existing applications, and even some surprises.Īs always, all upgrades to your CC apps are included as part of your Creative Cloud membership at no additional cost. And from what we’ve seen, it looks to be true. Last month, Adobe unveiled the all-new CC 2018 Release, which they say is the biggest product launch since Adobe first introduced Creative Cloud over five years ago. Just so you know, 2020 saved files DON'T have backwards conversion with older CC versions and have to be "converted" to older version compatible files, so be aware that could be a potential problem if you're working on a collaborative project where a client or an editor might have a different version installed.U PDATE – Most of these still work to download the original CC 2018 installers, though Adobe has recently taken down some links… You can also now get the CC 2019 Offline Installers or Adobe’s new CC 2022 Direct Download Links! Another potential solution is updating to the recent version if you're on an older CC version (make sure it's a separate installation if you have the space) and seeing if the font activation is solved that way. If you're in the most recent 2020 version, you could try installing a separate older version of the app (2019) and try it again to see if the font activates that way. But they activated fine through the app font activation pop-up.

I worked on a cover again recently in Illustrator where the previous cover was made like a couple months ago and the fonts deactivated. What app are you using and which version of CC are you on: 2019 or 2020)? I noticed when I'm in InDesign or Illustrator 2019, a lot of unused fonts automatically deactivate now, although I might have selected a preference a while ago and forgot about it.

These issues cannot be that hard to fix when you have had years to try and resolve them.ĭon't bother contacting Adobe support either cause they simply delete all your preference files, install loads of other versions of the software, uninstall all your drivers and somehow make the problem even worse than it was before. I loath and detest Adobe but there are no commercially viable alternatives at present. Come on Adobe!!! These issues have been ongoing for many many years now! What are you doing to rectify them? Even when I eventually manage to open a file that does not need fonts updated (cause thank god I don't use adobe's fonts for everything), then the apps just completely freeze on me (either on the loading screen or the app opens and is completely unresponsive) and I can do nothing but restart my machine.Īfter all that the same things continue to happen. Logging in and out doesn't fix it, turning font sync on and off does not fix it. I cannot open any files, as fonts rarely sync.
